Miraflores Palace, Caracas.- The ambassador of peace, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, will act as mediator in the process of political dialogue undertaken by the National Government and sectors of the Venezuelan opposition in Barbados.
The support of the humanitarian leader responds to an invitation made by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during a meeting held Monday at the Miraflores Palace, located in Caracas.
"We have agreed to help us as much as possible in the processes of dialogue for peace, as well as helping Colombia in similar processes," the Head of State informed the national and international media.
At the meeting, which lasted about one hour and thirty minutes, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar reiterated his willingness to collaborate in concentration mechanisms aimed at achieving national stability.
"I appreciate his willingness to help with his methods of meditation and his philosophy of the art of living of helping Venezuela to carry forward peace, the practice of non-violence, to take the path of national unity," he said.
The Venezuelan dignitary ratified his commitment to the conquest of the national union, which is why he celebrated the beginning of a new round of talks between official sectors and the Venezuelan right abroad.
